We are really excited to announce that Christian Fröhlingsdorf joins iLert as our Chief Technology Officer. Christian brings significant experience from senior roles in large industrial companies. He has held various positions within the REWE Group and played a key role in developing and growing a large microservice-based e-commerce marketplace for online grocery retail. Later on, he was responsible to build the Big Data Platform for the European food giant, based on the Google Cloud Platform.
His hands on experience as member and leader of platform and DevOps teams will give valuable input into the future of iLert’s incident management product. When Christian is not coding or contributing to open source projects, he’s getting ready for his next basketball match.
“I am impressed with what iLert has achieved so far. As an on-call engineer myself, I know it first hand what a difference iLert makes for on-call teams. I am looking forward to growing the team with even more talent and helping our global customers get the best out of our services, while maintaining a resilient platform that keeps up with our continuous addition of new and stronger features.” C. Fröhlingsdorf
iLert has not only become a global SaaS company serving customers around the world, its tech stack has also grown into a mature multi-cloud service that takes the best out of Amazon Web Services and the Google Cloud Platform.
“Building on top of such a platform is extremely efficient and helps us ship scalable features fast. Part of our DNA is also sharing our technical solutions and approaches to cloud services with our customers and partners.” C. Fröhlingsdorf
As CTO, Christian will be part of iLert’s Management Team. Along with Birol Yildiz (CEO), he will be responsible for the overall strategy of the company.
„Christian is one of the most talented engineers, leaders and individuals I’ve ever met and I’m thrilled to have him on board. He will be a vital part of executing on our digital and technology ambitions to help our customers deliver a seamless always-on experience.” Birol Yildiz, CEO
